Recent News and Forthcoming Events from the Glass House

We completed our third year in business in May this year and are delighted with the way the business has developed over the last three years.

We would like to thank all our customers for their ongoing support and encouragement. Many thanks also for all the new customers who come to the restaurant through your word of mouth and recommendations.

On a Personal Note

Keiran, our son, had his second birthday in February this year and is now part of the restaurants every day life - popping up everywhere during the course of the day.

Keiran's sister, Georgia, was born early in June.

We are still planning our usual 2 week annual holiday break in November this year but have also taken several short breaks this year so far due to an unusually large amount of “milestone” family birthday and anniversary celebrations…. Sorry if you have tried to get in over these periods when we were closed …

Sign Posting

We have taken the first steps to applying for tourist board sign posting on the high street by joining Eat Scotland and Visit Scotland this year. We are now waiting to be assessed and then can go ahead with the next step of applications. This would be a great help to people who don’t know where we are situated in town but would also help we think with passing trade.

Michelin Guide

We were inspected by the Michelin guide and were delighted to be awarded 2 forks and spoons when the guidebook came out in February. There are very few stand alone restaurants in the highlands to be included in the guide so we are especially happy to get this grading.

Outside Dining

We are now offering a seated area in the garden for the summer months as an option for outside dining if the weather lets us !!!. We will probably only use these at lunchtime but will see how it works out this year…
